Kurt Madden is the CEO of Career Nexus, a nonprofit organization he founded in 2021 to empower low-income young adults by connecting them to career opportunities through paid internships. His work at Career Nexus reflects his deep commitment to creating pathways to success for underserved communities. Before establishing Career Nexus, Kurt served as the Chief Technology Officer (CTO) for Fresno Unified School District for 15 years, where he led a large technology team in supporting the third largest school district in California. His team was pivotal in modernizing the district’s technology infrastructure and improving educational outcomes through innovative digital solutions.

Kurt's leadership experience spans multiple sectors. He has held executive roles, including CEO of One by One Leadership, a community leadership development organization, Corporate Vice President for a Fortune 1000 technology firm, and President and Founder of two technology companies. He has written three books: Leadership Questions, Synergetic Follower, and NeuroMaze which explore his philosophies on leadership, followership, team dynamics and AI. He is also an active contributor to his community, serving on several boards and councils, including the Economic Development Corporation Board of Fresno County, California Health Science University Board, Fresno/Madera United Way Board, Fresno COMPACT Board, and the Cradle-to-Career (C2C) Leadership Council.
